Pharmacy in Action: Advancing Health Literacy and Equity Worldwide is a six-part digital event series uniting voices from across all six WHO regions to showcase how pharmacists are advancing health literacy and equity in health care. Stemming from FIP’s newly launched insight report, How pharmacists worldwide are strengthening health literacy and empowering patients, the report highlights innovative strategies to improve public understanding of health, medicines, and disease prevention, as well as the systemic barriers that limit pharmacists’ impact.

Empowering populations through access and education - A focus on the South-East Asia

Focusing on South-East Asia, this event highlights pharmacist-led initiatives that improve both health literacy and equitable access to care. Participants will examine programs that leverage education, community engagement, and service innovation to empower populations to make informed health decisions. Case studies will illustrate how pharmacists can deliver tailored educational interventions, expand community-based services, and facilitate greater understanding of medicines and disease prevention. The session will offer actionable strategies for creating inclusive, accessible, and culturally relevant pharmacy services that enhance population health outcomes.
