Stemming from FIP’s newly launched insight report, How pharmacists worldwide are strengthening health literacy and empowering patients, the report highlights innovative strategies to improve public understanding of health, medicines, and disease prevention, as well as the systemic barriers that limit pharmacists’ impact.

This session emphasizes the critical role of collaboration and advocacy in advancing equity through pharmacy. Participants will explore strategies for engaging policymakers, healthcare providers, and communities to reform outdated legislation, address systemic barriers, and expand pharmacists’ involvement in essential health services such as vaccination, chronic disease management, and public health education. Through regional dialogue and practical examples, the event will highlight successful advocacy initiatives, demonstrating how pharmacists can drive systemic change and enhance equitable access to care while strengthening health literacy in their communities.
