The Crisis of Resistance: Non-prescription Antimicrobials as Frontline Tools in the Combat Against AM

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) continues to threaten global health, demanding innovative, community-based solutions. This joint GSCF–FIP webinar will highlight how self-care and responsible use of non-prescription antimicrobials, antibacterials, antifungals, and antivirals can strengthen infection prevention, stewardship, and health system resilience. Through insights from academia, industry, and professional associations, panelists will discuss the role of pharmacists, education, and cross-sector collaboration in advancing sustainable AMR containment strategies. Participants will gain an understanding of how self-care contributes to AMR prevention and how partnerships can drive coordinated action at local and global levels.
