World Environment Day: Healthcare professionals supporting environmental efforts

Plastic pollution permeates every corner of the planet—even in our bodies in the form of microplastics. World Environment Day 2025 calls for collective action to tackle plastic pollution. Healthcare systems across the planet use materials and medicines on a daily basis, what about their disposal and recycling? By drawing inspiration from different sectors and showcasing real-world solutions, this event will explore some initiatives focusing on recycling medicines, devices and other materials used in healthcare settings.
