Strengthening pharmacy-based vaccination policies to enhance service provision
Many countries currently do not have pharmacy-based vaccination (PBV) services and are seeking to amend legislation to enable them. Others, where PBV is already established, are looking to expand pharmacists’ roles or optimise implementation. Through expert insights and practical examples, this event will explore strategies to navigate policy barriers related to PBV, equipping pharmacists in these policy contexts to play a proactive role in advocating for and meeting community vaccination needs. The session will also mark the launch of the new FIP publication, “Vaccination Policy Toolkit”, which provides practical tools to support pharmacy teams in expanding and strengthening PBV services.
