Tightly controlled particle size distribution is highly important for pharmaceutical drug development. Powder particle size distribution is a valuable indicator of quality and performance as it affects drug efficacy, safety and manufacturability.. The flowability and ease of handling of the API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) and excipients (fillers and lubricants) are key requirements for the drug formulation.
