Recent digital solutions have revolutionised clinical practice through all stages of health service delivery —  from prevention to diagnosis, disease management and monitoring. Pharmacists must keep abreast of all these emerging advances to which immense capabilities will reshape healthcare worldwide. These events will showcase how a confident, capable, agile, and digitally enabled pharmaceutical workforce can be developed through education, as well as how it can leverage the potential of digital health into a sustainable pharmacy ecosystem and tackle the challenges to usher pharmacy into its digital future.

Nearly half of the pharmacy schools that have responded to “FIP digital health in pharmacy education survey, reported that digital health was not taught in their programmes. “FIP digital health in pharmacy education” report indicates that the development of knowledge and skills of digital health tools and provision is relevant to all pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences students. This digital event will act as a global showcase of digital health education initiatives from pharmacy schools which were published on FIP’s report on digital health in pharmacy education. Participants will have the opportunity to deep dive in the case studies from across the world so as to adopt and adapt  innovations on digital health education at their institutions. 

Learning objectives:

  1. Learn about various educational initiatives from pharmacy schools to build digital health competencies, 

  1. Explore good practices on course descriptions, examples of assignments and learning activities on digital health, 

  1. Identify steps to develop similar initiatives on digital health at their own institution
