Enabling multiprofessional vaccine prescribing and administration

Enabling multiprofessional vaccine prescribing and administration for improved uptake rates

Regional perspectives to establish supportive regulations and workforce planning

Vaccination is a core element of universal health coverage. It saves millions of lives around the world and contributes to more resilient and sustainable health systems. Yet, in many countries, vaccination coverage rates are suboptimal, and vaccination services are largely focused on childhood. The World Health Organization’s Immunization Agenda 2030 highlights the need to adopt a life-course approach in vaccination strategies.

For that, it is necessary to expand vaccination pathways and diversify the health workforce that can provide such services.

FIP will deliver a series of six regional events to identify drivers and barriers to interprofessional cooperation and task sharing in the area of vaccination in each WHO region.
