Pharmacovigilance (PV) is the science of detection, collection, assessment, monitoring and prevention of adverse events due to drugs. With more complex drugs and drug / device combinations in development and use, pharmacovigilance has become progressively become more stringent and challenging. Pharmacovigilance impacts every stakeholder, including CMC, clinical, sales& marketing, regulatory, and manufacturing. Ensuring patient safety is the central theme of PV.
