Expanding Primary Health Care Services Provision to the Pharmaceutical Private Sector Across the Region
30 July 2024
This webinar will focus on how expanding primary health care services provision to the pharmaceutical private sector can be achieved using the experience of a pilot programme implemented in Nigeria as a veritable template for the region. The integration of the pharmaceutical private sector into the nation’s health care delivery system is a key to meet universal health coverage (UHC) in most countries in the Afro Region of FIP because of their easy availability, access and non-payment of consultation fees. It will highlight the required policy changes, system strengthening tools and training will prepare pharmacists to position themselves critically. A panel discussion on current practice in selected countries and how the new learnings can be domiciled will also take place.
